FAQ

Does insertion hurt?

With local anesthesia, the procedure is usually well tolerated. Afterwards, you may experience a bruise or pressure sensation.

What side effects are possible?

Irregular bleeding is common, especially in the first months. We discuss benefits and possible side effects in advance.

When does the implant start working?

It depends on the timing in your cycle and any previous contraception. We will tell you exactly when you are protected and whether temporary backup contraception is needed.

Can I have it removed at any time?

Yes. We can remove the implant at any time if you wish or if you have symptoms – and advise you on alternatives.
